  5. How do students in the online program satisfy practicum hours?

    Field hours are typically completed in person at a human service organization. Students work with the Office of Field Education to find a placement near them. All field placement sites must be located within the United States, not including U.S. territories.

  6. How does Gradcare for spring/summer terms work in the Joint PhD Program? When is it covered and when is it not?

    Gradcare is offered to all students approved for summer funding. It will be paid from the total fellowship amount and the stipend will be less the cost of the health care coverage.

  7. How early can I apply?

    You can apply as soon as the application is available online, which is usually in September for admission for the following fall semester.

  8. How is financial aid awarded to MSW students?

    The School of Social Work Office of Student Services and Enrollment Management provides grant and scholarship assistance. The University Office of Financial Aid provides loans and work study awards. Many scholarships and grants are awarded at the time of admission.
