  1. How do I get started if I don't have any experience and want to be in the Sexual Health Certificate Program some day?

    Community volunteering is one way to begin. Many people begin by volunteering in a Planned Parenthood clinic, or a clinic providing free medical care, or as an assistant in a nursing home, or an HIV/AIDS wellness program. All of these would give you great training in being with people and talking and listening to people.

  2. How do I go about changing my advisor in the Joint PhD Program?

    A student may change their advisor at any time during their study in the program. The signature of the new advisor must be obtained and the following form must be completed and submitted to the Doctoral Office.

  3. How do I have my experience screened for the Social Work Essentials or MasterTrack MSW program?

    Complete the Eligibility Review Request form to have your human service experience screened.

  4. How do I pay an Individual?

    Once you have collected all of your needed documentation, you may fill out the Purchasing or Reimbursement form.

  5. How do I pay an Organization?

    Once you have collected all of your needed documentation, you may fill out the Purchasing or Reimbursement form.

  6. How do I register for a class outside of social work?

    Students can register for outside classes through Wolverine Access once their registration appointment time for the term has arrived. If this is not the case, the school or college offering the class may have to give special permission, and students should contact them directly.

  7. How do I register for an independent study course?

    Students must first complete the on-line Independent Studies Recording Form, via the SSW website. Once submitted it will be routed to the course instructor, the student's academic advisor, and the MSW Program Director if acting as a substitution, for approval. If approval is completed the school recorder will enter an electronic permission into Wolverine Access, which will generate an email informing students of their ability to enroll.

  8. How do I register for classes?

    Registration is an online process through Wolverine Access and requires a registration appointment time.
