In the event of a campus closure or interruption in classes, you may find yourself needing to use tools that you have not used before. The SSW Student Technology Resources for Remote Learning resource guide provides information on Zoom, Canvas, Video Creation Tools, and other information you may need.
The School of Social Work Computing Site is located in Room B700 (basement level) in the School of Social Work Building on Central Campus. This computing site is currently closed for Spring/Summer 2021 but will reopen for the Fall semester in accordance with University COVID safety guidelines. U-M ITS maintains a list of all the campus computing sites and their availability. You can also reserve a private study space on campus at U-M Study Spaces.
When open, the computing site contains 13 Windows workstations and 6 walk-up Mac stations and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Access to these computers may be restricted to social work students at certain times.
Please see the Laptop Requirement Policy.
When the computing site is open, color printing is available in the computing site to all current U-M Students, Faculty, and Staff. The cost per 8.5 x 11 sized color impression is $0.23 which will be billed to student or departmental accounts.
