In the event of a campus closure or interruption in classes, you may find yourself needing to use tools that you have not used before. The SSW Student Technology Resources for Remote Learning resource guide provides information on BlueJeans, Canvas, Video Creation Tools, and other information you may need.
The School of Social Work Computing Site is located in Room B700 (basement level) in the School of Social Work Building on Central Campus.
The computing site contains 13 Windows workstations and 6 walk-up Mac stations. These numbers are currently reduced by about half to allow for proper social distancing.
These computers are available on a first come, first serve basis. Access to these computers may be restricted to social work students at certain times.
Please see the Laptop Requirement Policy.
Color printing is available in the computing site to all current U-M Students, Faculty, and Staff. The cost per 8.5 x 11 sized color impression is $0.23 which will be billed to student or departmental accounts.
Several flatbed scanners are available in the SSW computing site. Scanners are installed at Windows full-use workstations. There is also one black and white printer with scanning and copying features. These scanners are available for all Faculty, Students, and Staff to use during normal operating hours.
The SSW is included in the wireless network provided by ITS.
