We invite prospective MSW students to visit us in Ann Arbor or attend a virtual session to learn about our programs, meet current students, tour the building (in-person only), and get admissions and financial aid guidance.

Student Help & Support

The School of Social Work and U-M offer a wide range of resources to support student well-being. Whether you're looking for help with mental health, finances, food access, safety, or other concerns, staff can connect you with the right support on campus or within the School.

Writing Assistance 

SSW Writing Assistance offers support on campus and online. Get feedback on papers, presentations, and career documents, or schedule an individual appointment. Workshops are available for classes. SSW Writing Assistance includes selected resources to help strengthen writing and communication skills.

SSW Student Guide

The MSW Student Guide outlines key policies, procedures, and academic requirements for students in the School of Social Work. It provides essential information to help navigate your program successfully, from enrollment to field education. Be sure to select the guide that corresponds to your entering class year.
