I've been out of school for over 15 years, and in that time I've been working as a case manager. I love what I do, but in order to grow in my career, I need a master's degree. I wondered, how can I do this? U‑M's part-time program is my answer. Going to school part-time allows me the flexibility to maintain my job responsibilities while getting my MSW, at a pace that allows me to balance my work, family and other obligations.

I’ve been an Episcopal priest for 13 years, but as churches have gotten smaller they can’t afford full time priests, and more clergy are working part time. Getting an MSW through the part-time program gives me the flexibility to continue to serve smaller churches and keep working while I get my degree.

I grew up locally, I’ve always loved U-M, and it is the #1 school of social work, but I wouldn’t have been able to attend without the part-time option.
