  1. What are the steps for applying to the MasterTrack MSW program?

  2. What does the program consider human service related experience?

    With social work being such a broad profession, it does vary. Examples of human service experience can include but not limited to direct client care, case management, nonprofit work, advocacy, organizational management, program evaluation, and much more. If you would like to discuss your specific experience, please schedule an appointment with one of our admissions counselors at ssw.msw.info@umich.edu.

  3. What educational background is required for the Master of Social Work degree program? Are any pre-requisites required?

  4. When should I apply to the Master of Social Work (MSW) degree program if I plan to complete the MasterTrack first?

    You may apply for the Master of Social Work (MSW) program before, during, or after starting or completing the MasterTrack Certificate program. Some students may want to have confirmation that they are fully admitted to the MSW program before purchasing the MasterTrack courses. Review the posted deadlines for the On-Campus and Online MSW programs and apply as early as possible.
