In this overview, participants will discover the roots and the drivers of the integration of behavioral health and education, learn about the National landscape for general Integration, basic ingredients of successful integration models and learn basics of team-based care, a central model in all integration efforts.

Data and Change Management
Integration is a transformation which requires the management of change. This class will describe the fundamentals of change management and how to apply them. Data management is also a fundamental approach to successful integration and participants will learn data literacy, data informed decision making and how data can be empowering by measuring what matters most.

- Identify benefits of utilizing data in integration.
Motivational Interviewing: Supporting Engagement and Behavior Change in the School Setting
MI is an evidence-supported and client-empowering conversation style that has been shown to improve client engagement, decrease provider burnout, and support lasting behavior change. In the school setting, an MI approach can be beneficial with both students and staff. Teague and Sara will provide several concrete strategies for participants to immediately use in their own practices, as well as guidance to seek further learning and training in MI if desired.

Social and School Determinants of Health/Population Health
This class will discuss how SDOH impacts health and educational outcomes, potential long-term impact interventions may have on health and educational outcomes, best practices, equity issues and successful initiatives.

Implementation: A Model of School Integration
Schools are a world of their own. Switching from the world of community mental health treatment to delivering behavioral health services in schools, one has no idea what to expect. This session will discuss the community partnerships, initiatives, and program structure that support providing both universal and targeted behavioral health services to all students.

Resilient Staff Culture
As professionals in education, it is natural to focus on the needs of those around us. However, it is not as easy to attend to our own needs, they often get neglected or ignored. This workshop along with its accompanying workbook will be engaging, interactive and include a variety of practical easy to implement strategies for your own well-being and self-care.

Multi-Tiered System of Supports
Explore a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), a proactive and preventative framework, originally derived from the public health and disease control model, and understand its application in schools.
- Define components of an MTSS framework.
- Describe how the MTSS framework can be applied in the school environment.
Resilient Student Culture
Resilient Student Culture is a critical part of the educational experience for all students and an important piece of the Integration of Education and Behavioral Health. Participants will learn what contributes to a resilient school culture, how to work toward resiliency and the individual and collective impacts.
- Identify factors that contribute to a resilient school culture.
Building and Maintaining Partnerships
Building and maintaining partnerships within the school setting is critical in supporting the mental health needs of young people. This presentation will provide an overview of strategies to build and maintain relationships between schools and community partners to meet the needs of the whole child. Examples of different models will be provided, and participants will be able to identify ways to build upon partnerships in their own communities through an interactive activity.
