The SSW Instructional Support Team ([email protected]) provides support, training, consultation, and design services for the School of Social Work. Many instructional resources can be found in the Instructional Faculty Resources Portal , on our Canvas Support Site, and on this page.
We strongly encourage instructors using Zoom to review the Zoom Guide for SSW Instructors and the central U-M Zoom webpage.
The instructional design team provides one-on-one consultation sessions for course design and redesign, hybrid and online learning, active learning techniques, and technology integration in classroom. If you have any questions or concerns about a course, please request a consultation with our team to discuss the ways of designing meaningful and pedagogically sound learning experiences.
Any tenured or non-tenured faculty members are eligible to request a 1:1 course design consultation. Requests for consultations will be answered within five business days.
The SSW Instructional Support Team provides in-person Canvas training. Training sessions can take between one and two hours. Training is typically available Monday through Thursday between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. To schedule a training, email [email protected].
If immediate support is needed outside business hours, U-M Information and Technology Services (ITS) is also available by phone at (734) 764-4357 (4-HELP). ITS support is offered from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 6:00pm Friday, and from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday.
