Fatima Salman is an MSW from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a concentration in Community Organizing and a minor in Management of Human Services. She holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of Michigan- Ann Arbor with double majors in Biology and Arabic. She is the host of "Between the Lines with Fatima Salman" on 910 AM Superstation, a local radio talk show in metro Detroit. The focus of the show is to combat stereotypes and Islamophobic rhetoric and to give a platform to those marginalized communities not typically given a voice in media.
Fatima Salman serves on several local, regional, and national boards. She serves as the Education and Youth Chair on the MMCC, Michigan Muslim Community Council, as the Youth Committee Advisor for MYNA, as a board member at The Children's Center in Detroit, and on the Community Advisory Panel for DPTV. She is a fellow at Women’s Media Center’s Progressive Women’s Voices 2016, Leadership Detroit 38, and Emerge- Michigan 2017.
