Stacy Peterson has been with the School of Social Work since 1999 as a field educator/lecturer/field liaison. She works primarily with students interested in children and youth, juvenile justice, child welfare, and the school social work practice concentrations. Prior to this, Stacy worked in social work at both the macro and interpersonal practice levels. She was a program associate and a field instructor for the University of Michigan's Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program and the Detroit Initiative, where she placed students throughout Wayne and Washtenaw counties to participate in community-based research and community service learning projects in Latino, African-American, and Arab community centers. Stacy also has worked for Mercy Network as a social worker for mentally ill substance abusers in Pontiac, Michigan.
