    Are you ready to start job hunting? Come to this lunch and learn session to discuss finding a job as a social worker in the field of program evaluation. The need for evaluators is increasing at a tremendous rate.

    Learn about what social workers do in the field of evaluation, how to apply for jobs and career opportunities. You will hear from professional evaluators who will provide their experiences and recommendations on finding, applying and landing your desired job in the field of evaluation.

    Lunch from Pizza House will be provided to those that register by Tuesday, October 8th at 12:00 pm.

  6. Third Annual Social Work Research Symposium

    The University of Michigan Health System's Social Work Department will have its Third Annual Social Work Research Symposium on October 10, 2013. The symposium will be held on-site at the hospital from 8 am 12 pm. The focus of the Symposium is health and mental health research as it relates to clinical practice.

  8. Social Justice Forum-Coming Out in Russia: A Global Social Work Perspective Social Justice Forum-Coming Out in Russia: A Global Social Work Perspective

    Please join us for a Social Justice Forum discussion about the recent laws and practices that are further stigmatizing and harming the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community in Russia by providing some context on the Russian culture, specifically how politics plays a role in reinforcing a culture of hate and violence towards the LGBT community.

  10. "One Day as a Foreigner" Reflective Photo Exhibition "One Day as a Foreigner" Reflective Photo Exhibition

    October 10, 2013 to October 28, 2013

    The Office of Global Activities and the International Social Work Student Association are holding a reflective photo exhibition as a part of Global Social Work Week (November 11-15). "One Day as a Foreigner" is an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to showcase their experience as a "foreigner" through photography and narrative. The exhibition will be on display in the SSWB across from the Office of Student Services from November 11-25, 2013. The deadline for submission is October 28, 2013.
