Summary
This course will examine the developmental underpinnings of resilience and positive coping in maltreated children. Content will combine current findings from research with policy and practice implications and strategies.
- Describe the correlates and consequences of child maltreatment
- Describe how adversity and trauma in maltreated and vulnerable children manifests in social interaction and behavior.
- Describe the concept of resilience and strategies that support and sustain recovery and healthy development.
