Allyhood Development Training & the Intersection of LGBTQ+ Affirming Mental Health Care

Summary

During this seven hour workshop, the Spectrum Center will present key concepts and terminology related to LGBTQ identities, communities and advocacy. Spectrum will then ask participants to apply these concepts and the NASW Code of Ethics to inclusive practices in the workplace and when working with LGBTQ clients, including the use of pronouns, a focus on inclusive language and suggested best practices. The presentation will be provided through Google slides and will include an emphasis on group discussion, individual reflection and direct participation.
