Program Goal. Our main goal of this project is to provide support and assist in the facilitation of equitable change in the Challenge Network communities. By the end of the proposed project, the following objectives for the communities will be completed:
• To have an expanded understanding of how racial inequalities present themselves in organizational culture, process, and resource allocation.
• To create a set of recommendations and an implementation plan designed to address barriers related to racial equity that were identified during the Organizational Climate and Equity Assessment.
• To learn to implement a self-evaluation tool designed to uncover future barriers to racial equity within the organization.
• To have a greater understanding of the role that implicit biases play in reinforcing racial inequities within the organization and learn new tools and techniques to recognize and mitigate the effect of implicit biases within the organization.
