Therapist/Clinician

Embodied Wellness, PLLC is an online group psychotherapy practice specializing in trauma, depression, and anxiety. We service adolescents and adults throughout the state of Michigan. Our clients seek us out because they have tried traditional talk therapy and still experience symptoms of trauma in their body. Our therapists are trained in somatic therapy, EMDR and other body based treatment approaches. We are looking to hire a contractual online therapist with a focus on treating trauma with a mind-body approach.  

Job Requirements:

Active LLMSW, LMSW, LPC, LLP, or LP in the state of Michigan (or willingness to get one if out of state!)

Willingness to work part time (15 clients hours) or full time (20-25 client hours) per week

Advanced somatic trauma training (ex. Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR) or commitment to start training upon hire.

1-2 years of experience treating trauma in adults and/or adolescents (field placements will be considered in strong candidates)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to grow into this role, as it takes time to build a caseload of any size

Have all necessary materials for online therapy sessions (laptop, confidential office setting, stable internet, etc.)

Hard working, compassionate, reliable, personable, organized, self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

Established CAQH profile

Individually credentialed with BCBS PPO and BCN 

Established referral network or presence in the mental health community

Familiarity with Simple Practice (or similar electronic medical record)
