    No, this continuing education certificate program does not currently offer financial aid.

  2. Is financial aid or scholarship assistance available for this continuing education certificate program?

    The Sexual Health Certificate Program offers a partial scholarship to 5-10 participants per year who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to social justice. The application is made available to participants who are admitted and enroll in the program.

  3. Is housing available at the University of Michigan?

    The University of Michigan offers limited on-campus housing for eligible graduate students. Non-University housing includes co-ops, apartments, and houses for rent. Most students live off campus within walking distance of the School of Social Work. For more information on housing visit the U-M Housing website.

  4. Is it possible to connect with a current MSW student to learn more about their experience in the program?

    Absolutely! You can send a request to be contacted by a current student. You can also connect with current MSW students as well as other prospective MSW students at one of our student led virtual meetings.

  5. Is it possible to transfer into the University of Michigan School of Social Work?

    Transfer students from CSWE accredited MSW programs can transfer up to 30 credit hours as long as they were degree seeking students.   6. Is the Social Work Essentials/ MasterTrack appropriate for an incoming U-M master’s student who wants to apply to the MSW program for a dual degree?

    Not necessarily. If students are interested in a dual degree program as an On Campus or Online MSW student, completion of the Social Work Essentials/ MasterTrack is not required. Students could simply apply to the residential MSW program and also apply to the other dual degree program.

  7. Is the GRE required for application to the MSW Program?

    No. GRE scores are neither required nor reviewed.

  8. Is the MSW program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)?

    Yes, the MSW program has been accredited by the CSWE since 1922.
