Certificate Course

  1. Who can I contact regarding questions about MasterTrack courses or assignments?

    Learners should first post their questions in the course Discussion Forum. They can also plan to visit the planned Office Hours session for the course. Following these options, learners can email [email protected].

  2. Who can I contact regarding questions about Social Work Essentials courses or assignments?

    Students should first post their questions in the course Discussion Forum. They can also plan to visit the scheduled Office Hours session (beginning in 4th module) for the course. Following these options, students can email [email protected].

  3. Who can I contact regarding technical issues when completing the Social Work Essentials Certificate courses?

    Students may reach out to [email protected] with any questions.

  4. Who can I contact with regarding Coursera technical issues when completing the MasterTrack certificate?

    Learners should first review the Coursera Learner Help Center. Following this, questions can be emailed to [email protected].

  5. Will I receive an actual certificate after I complete the MasterTrack Certificate program?

    Yes. Coursera will provide a certificate to learners upon completion of assignments for individual MasterTrack courses. Once a learner has completed all courses for the MasterTrack Certificate and verified their identity with Coursera, the University of Michigan will issue a certificate of completion for the Social Work: Practice, Policy and Research MasterTrack Certificate via email. Certificates will be sent once a month, based on completion of the certificate.

  6. Will I receive an actual certificate after I complete the Social Work Essentials Certificate program?

    Yes. The University of Michigan will issue an e-certificate of completion for the Social Work Essentials Certificate via email.

Grading

  1. Are the Social Work Essentials or MasterTrack Certificate courses graded and are they pass/fail?

    Yes, they are graded and students must receive at least a 70% in the course to pass. Classes cannot be taken pass/fail.

  2. I am enrolled in the MasterTrack courses, are there course deadlines/due dates?

    MasterTrack courses have a fixed schedule, which means you need to complete all your coursework during a specific time period. Courses have hard deadlines which you can't reset. You may be able to switch sessions if you fall behind.
