Zaynab K. Boussi

Zaynab K. Boussi joined the Office of Field Education as field faculty and LEO Lecturer in May of 2021. Previously, she worked as a school social worker with the Dearborn Public Schools, where she also served as a field instructor.

Boussi, a Dearborn native and daughter of Lebanese immigrants, has been providing mental health services since 2003. Boussi earned her BA in psychology from the University of Michigan- Dearborn in 2003 and her MSW from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 2009, specializing in interpersonal practice, community mental health and school social work.

Early in her career, Boussi was a case manager in the Mental Health Department with the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS), where she worked with a wide variety of clients including children with developmental disabilities and refugee families in Southeast Michigan.

Boussi is a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist, and also runs her private practice, Clarity Therapy, LLC, where she provides EMDR and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Her areas of expertise include children, adolescent, family, anxiety, depression, adjustment and acculturation issues.
