Susan Grettenberger is Director and Professor of Central Michigan University's social work program. She ran for Michigan's 8th Congressional seat in 2014, out of concern that many Congressional proposals at the time did not reflect social work's commitment to social justice and to marginalized groups. At present, she is the Vice-President of Social Policy for the MI-NASW working on the issues of justice and the profession. Dr. Grettenberger began as a clinical social worker but quickly became committed to social policy change and advocacy after working with immigrant Mexican women in Chicago.
