  1. Reflecting Back on Their MSW Experience and Looking Towards Community Change Employment

    The Community Change Pathway Team and the SSW's Career Services are proud to be co-hosting "Reflecting Back on Their MSW Experience and Looking To Community Change Employment". This event focuses on entering the workforce as a community change/macro social work practitioner upon graduation. Four MSW alumni from the School of Social Work who graduated within the Community Organization and/or Communities and Social Systems Pathways will be sharing their experiences as young community organizing/macro social work practitioners. All of the panelists are within five years of MSW graduation.

    Though this event focuses on community change & macro social work, all SSW students are welcome to attend. Community organizing is a key element of our social work practice. This event can be utilized to support a Field Education Agreement competency and one hour of field education, if approved by your field supervisor prior.

  2. Social Workers’ Role in Addressing Current Social Justice Issues and the MasterTrack™ Certificate Social Workers’ Role in Addressing Current Social Justice Issues and the MasterTrack™ Certificate

    Learn more about the Social Work: Practice, Policy, and Research MasterTrack™ Certificate from the University of Michigan School of Social Work on Coursera. During this session, you will hear from Dr. Jamie Mitchell who will discuss the role that social workers can play in addressing current social justice and diversity related issues in society. Barb Hiltz, MSW Program Director will provide an overview of the MasterTrack™ Certificate and Tim Colenback, Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management will discuss the application process for the Master of Social Work program.
