This course will focus on navigating the ethics around three distinct areas of practice that are often impacted by dementia; end of life nutrition, "safe" decision making; and choice in engaging in sexual encounters. The inter-disciplinary instructors will describe how balancing self-determination and dignity in aging can be clouded by concerns from others around "protecting" this possibly vulnerable population of persons impacted by dementia.
