  • CASC Senior Brunch

    April 10, 2016 - 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM ET

    All CASC seniors are welcome to attend this final networking brunch event before graduating! Learn where other students are planning to go in the world, what they are doing after graduation, and how they will continue to CASC in various communities. 

  • Service Day in Flint

    April 9, 2016 - 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM ET

    As a follow up to the conversation on environmental racism, members of the CASC Student Board, The Center for Engaged Academic Learning, The Ginsberg Center, and Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. organized a service trip to Flint. All are welcome to join. The bus will leave from East Quad at 1PM.

    April 8, 2016 - 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM ET

    Interested in learning more about the Community Action and Social Change minor? Come to this info session to learn more about the CASC community, what CASC is and what it can offer you in your undergraduate program, the types of courses you'll take, and the available opportunities for CASC students after graduation! 

  • Environmental Racism Conversation

    April 6, 2016 - 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM ET

    Join the CASC Student Board, The Center for Engaged Academic Learning, The Ginsberg Center, and Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. as we host a conversation on environmental justice, with a focus on the Flint water crisis. The evening will give an overview of environmental racism and the Flint water crisis, and include break out group conversations about the role of student activism in this crisis.

  • MSW Welcome Dinner, for incoming CASC Students

    April 6, 2016 - 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM ET

    Join us for a special reception for CASC students entering the MSW program. This is a great opportunity for incoming students to learn from second year students in the program, and for second year students to share their wisdom and lessons learned with new students. It's also a great chance to get to know other CASC alums in the MSW program. As always, there will be free food! RSVP to [email protected].

  • MSW General Information Session for CASC Preferred Admissions

    March 24, 2016 - 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM ET

    This event is for students interested in learning more about receiving a masters degree in social work. Please note, this event is only open to declared CASC minors who are interested in the preferred admissions program. RSVP by emailing [email protected]. Free lunch will be provided!

  • CASC Backpacking and Advising

    March 23, 2016 - 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM ET

    This event is a great chance for CASC students to check out the Fall 2016 CASC course guide, hear the inside scoop on CASC courses from the Student Advisory Board, and check in with the advising staff about courses. It is also a great time to socialize with other CASC students while enjoying free food! 

  • Speaker Series - Our Once and Future Selves

    This course is open to the public and will feature student conversations with faculty.

    This speaker for this session will be Assistant Professor of Social Work and CASC Director Katie Richards-Schuster.
