Description

The University of Michigan Counseling and Psychological Services provides full-time, twelve-month Post Graduate (Post-Doctoral and Post-MSW) Fellowships. We are currently looking to fill openings for the 2025-2026 training year. Our Post-MSW Fellowships are open to one or two year commitments. This decision will be made jointly with the candidate and Search Committee upon a candidate’s offer acceptance. Applications are due January 19, 2025. The Fellowships start on August 4, 2025. Applications should consist of a cover letter, CV, and list of two references, with one of those being a current clinical supervisor. We also require a copy of a candidate's official transcripts prior to start date. Please send materials via email to Ed Huebner, LMSW at: [email protected].

Post-Graduate Fellows provide service in: initial clinical evaluation; individual counseling and psychotherapy (both brief and longer when appropriate); crisis intervention and emergency services; third party consultation; outreach; program development; group interventions (structured, semi-structured or process groups); and supervision of psychology practicum trainees (for Post Doc) and social work interns (for Post MSW). Opportunities are available to conduct specialized clinical screening assessments of alcohol and other drugs and eating and body image issues.  Fellows also serve on agency committees.

In addition, Post-Graduate Fellows will develop an area of specialization. Examples include but are not limited to:

Administration (e.g. clinical, training, or outreach)

Clinical Practice (e.g. mindfulness-based therapies; couples; brief treatment of trauma; focused services to students with a particular social identity such as students of color or LGBT students)

Outreach (e.g. to specific campus communities, and/or general programming)
