Job Summary
The Program Manager, Wellness and Health will lead the creation, implementation, and evaluation of programs to address social determinants of health (SDOH) of faculty and staff within the U-M campus communities, including Michigan Medicine. You will coordinate with internal departments, external partners, and community organizations to oversee programs that improve health outcomes, reduce health disparities, and enhance the well-being of UM employees. You will use data-driven strategies to identify needs of employees in low-wage earning categories in at least three areas of focus: economic stability, food and nutrition security, and financial well-being. You will report directly to the Associate Director.

Responsibilities*
Responsible for the daily operations and strategic direction of the social determinants of health (SDOH) programs, including the Resource Coach program, the food and nutrition security workgroup, and financial well-being programming.
Manage a team of direct reports including MHealthy Resource Coaches. Hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating performance.
Develop yearly program goals, program proposals, and budgets that align with MHealthy, UHR, B&F and university strategic directions.
Measure and adjust departmental resource allocations using available data and program feedback to support decision-making.
Design, and manage programs for important SDOH results areas of focus, including food and nutrition security, economic stability, and financial well-being. Provide direction and oversight to the SDOH Initiative Workgroup.
In partnership with internal evaluation and information systems staff, establish and evaluate performance metrics for SDOH programming. Use reporting metrics in strategic program development.
Collaborate with Health and Well-being Services staff to deliver joint programs tailored for specific populations and special events. Coordinate all communications with HR Communications to ensure consistency.
Use and promote the use of objectives and key results to set departmental goals; track progress and readjust.
