You are invited to the SSW poster presentations on gender-based violence. Gender-based violence is a prevalent, serious human rights violation that remains invisible. In solidarity with the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence Campaign, the students in SW708 (grassroots and policy responses to domestic violence: critical, structural and global perspectives) will present their research on various policies, system's responses, and community-based strategies to address gender-based violence, intimate partner violence (IPV) in particular. They will also share their visions for more effective policies and strategies. Refreshments will be provided.
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence Campaign runs from 11/25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) and 12/10 (Human Rights Day).
