SSW students Particpate in Interprofessional Training for Future Health Care ProfessionalsSchool of Social Work students were part of an interprofessional team training future health care professionals. This course, "Team-based Clinical Decision Making" is being offered for the first time this term to students from the School of Social Work, College of Pharmacy, School of Dentistry, Medical School and School of Nursing. Lecturer Debbie Mattison (part of the course's instructional team) was cited in The University Record article, “Students Seek Health Care Solutions through Interprofessional Teams”.

Yolanda Chávez Padilla (PhD’93) has accepted the position as director of the Council on Social Work Education Center for Diversity and Social and Economic Justice. Dr. Padilla will have a joint appointment with the CSWE and with the School of Social Work at University of Texas at Austin.
