  1. I see that the course catalog has multiple dates listed for a course: Can I pick which dates I want to attend?

    No, you must attend all course dates if you want to receive CE hours. Partial credit is not available.

  2. I think I forgot to sign in/out, what should I do?

    We are unfortunately unable to offer CE hours for the course if you forget to sign in and/or out. Please do not forget to do this.

  3. I took the free version (MOOC) of Social Work Practice: Advocating Social Justice and Change. How do I get credit for this course now that I'm pursuing the full MasterTrack Certificate?

    If a learner took the free version of Social Work Practice: Advocating Social Justice and Change and then enrolls in the MasterTrack Certificate, they will need to re-enroll in SWMT 101: Social Work Practice: Advocating Social Justice and Change (the first certificate course) and then the information from their past course completion will pull over into their certificate profile.

  4. I've been out of school for years! As an Online MSW admitted student, how do I go about writing these complex papers & assignments?

    The upside of a big school is that we also have a lot of resources.

  5. I've never written a resume; do I need to include one with my MSW application? What if my resume isn't very strong?

  6. If admission is granted to the MSW Program, is an enrollment deposit required?

    Yes, a $300 (U.S. dollars) non-refundable enrollment deposit is required to secure your place in the incoming class. The enrollment deposit is applied to your student account. If paying the enrollment deposit will create a financial hardship, please contact the Office of Student Services and Enrollment Management at ssw.msw.info@umich.edu or (734) 936-0961.

  7. If I am applying to the MSW degree program, do I also need to submit an application to the Graduate School?

    No, to apply to the MSW degree program you only need to submit your application to the School of Social Work. You do not need to submit an application to the Rackham School of Graduate Studies unless you are applying to the Joint PhD Program in Social Work and Social Science.

  8. If I am getting assistance from an employer or organization in paying for a continuing education certificate program, can they make the payment directly to you?

    Yes, please contact the Office of Continuing Education by email (ssw.conted@umich.edu) or by phone (734-763-5723) to discuss the payment process.
