2025 IMPACT Awards
April 7, 2025 - 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM ET
The IMPACT Awards honors outstanding SSW students, faculty, staff, and student organizations who have demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing our community and advancing the School of Social Work's Mission within the School of Social Work and/or the broader community. Up to three individuals and one group may receive this award.
Join us as we share a meal and celebrate the award recipients from 12 PM to 1 PM.
At 1 PM, the Self-Healing and Social Justice Art Collective will guide us through an interactive art-making experience, Dream Flag. In small groups, we will paint our dream flags, which will be displayed along with the Art Collective's work for the term.
This event will be held in person!
We look forward to celebrating the impactful work of our community!
Nomination Details:Open to all current SSW students, faculty, staff, and registered student organizations.
Individuals may self-nominate or be nominated by another person or group.
Submission Deadline: Friday, March 21, 2025

Online Educational Agreement (OEA) Due to Field Instructor
April 7, 2025 (all day)
The student is encouraged to submit their OEA by 04/07/25 to allow sufficient time for their FI to review, to enter ratings and comment and then to submit. Winter 2025 OEA's are due on 04/14/25.

The Policy Proposal Workshop on International Relief and Aid
April 7, 2025 - 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM ET
This event is sponsored by SSW ENGAGE, SSW Office of Global Activities, the Michigan Undergraduate Law Review (MULR), and the PICS Department
How has international aid and relief for poverty and humanitarian assistance been impacted by the Trump Administration’s recent policies on U.S. foreign aid, particularly for the world’s most vulnerable populations? The Policy Proposal Workshop on International Relief and Aid will be hosted in collaboration with various law, public policy, and global policy faculty, departments, and student organizations. Join us in drafting legislative proposals, which will be sent to your local representatives or Senators! Additionally, we will include a roundtable discussion on the broader impact of U.S. foreign policy on global poverty relief.
SSW students attending this event are eligible to receive field credit hours with Agency Field Instructor approval.
