Tu B'Shevat
January 30, 2013 - 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM ET
Calling all social work students (and your friends!)
We have an awesome event celebrating the new year of the trees! This particular Jewish New Year is called Tu B'Shevat! Never heard of it?
Come learn more!
We will have yummy treats (nuts, fruit, olives, etc) and we will be doing some text study/educational learning as well as some light planting!
We will be potting small plants and herbs including mint and decorating the pots. Once we have completed this they will be delivered to Jewish Senior Life to a group of older adults living in a residential home-care facility.
Brought to you by the Organization of Jewish Social Workers (OJSW) the Jewish Communal Leadership Program (JCLP) and sponsored by the Make it Happen Project.
So come on down to the McGregor Commons Wednesday January 30th, we will be there from 5:30-7:30 ready to feed you, teach you, learn with you and do some planting and decorating!
Tell your friends and we hope to see you there!
