Circle Process Event Focusing on the SSW Climate

to

You are invited to join a Circle Process event for SSW Community Members. The purpose of the Circle is to share thoughts and ideas in a guided dialog about the School of Social Work climate and to have all voices be heard.  The Office of Student Conflict Resolution will be coordinating multiple small-group Circle Processes to happen concurrently during this event.  Associate Professor Sandra Momper will introduce us to this important practice. Circle Processes are a time-honored tradition practiced by Indigenous peoples globally, which through process and structure promote equality, inclusivity, and deep listening. We also hope to collect some of the main takeaways from these Circles to inform building a positive climate in the School.

This is the first of many actions that the School will take over this and future semesters to build a positive culture in the School. We will engage students, faculty, and staff in reviewing what we learn from these Circles. With your input and ideas, the School will be planning future events focusing on climate, training, and other community-building activities.

Come at 6 PM to enjoy a light dinner before the event.
