The U-M’s Youth Civil Rights Academy, developed as a partnership between Barry Checkoway and the Office of Academic Innovation, aims to prepare a new generation of civil rights leader, through digital learning, online courses, and online educational resources; face-to-face learning, summits and workshops; youth leadership development and community action projects; and teacher professional development. This session will examine the Academy as a real-life example of using online learning as a vehicle to create new innovative institutional infrastructures with a social justice perspective.
This session is open to anyone in the U-M community.
