“Searching for Sugar Man” is a documentary focusing on artist Rodgriguez whose music served as an anthem for South Africans during the Apartheid Era. Although Rodriguez music did not gain fame in the U.S., he was an icon in South Africa. This movie brings light to the importance that music plays in political movements while informing viewers of the harsh conditions of South Africans after WWII.
