Assessing Traumatic Stress in Children, Adolescents, and Adults

This Continuing Education session will cover both (1) understanding traumatic stress responses in individuals, and (2) performing effective assessments of traumatic stress.  Participants can expect to gain an understanding of the links between trauma and outcomes across the health spectrum as well as useful skills for assessing traumatic stress.  Social workers from a variety of settings including medical, foster care, school, and mental health, may find this useful for better understanding how individuals experiences affect their functioning. Further, participants will gain basic skills in assessing for trauma exposures and traumatic stress.
