The Association of Black Social Work Students presents a historic documentary Eyes on the Prize: "Mississippi: Is This America" and "Bridge to Freedom" created and produced by Henry Hampton. Eyes on the Prize, is a 14-hour documentary series about the African-American Civil Rights Movement aired in two parts on PBS. We will be watching volume three, the plot: "Mississippi's grassroots civil rights movement becomes an American concern when college students travel south to help register black voters and three of them are murdered. The Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party challenges the regular Mississippi delegation at the Democratic Convention in Atlantic City."Join the group for an evening of history and dialog.
