The study team at the University of Michigan will lead the Rx Kids research team's work to examine the relationship between Rx Kids cash transfers and child welfare outcomes. The research will be conducted through a partnership between U-M's Poverty Solutions Initiative and the Child and Adolescent Data Lab. Using administrative records housed at the Child and Adolescent Data Lab, the team will explore whether the Rx Kids cash payments reduce child welfare investigations, removal rates, duration of out-of-home placements, and reunification rates.
