Oncology Counselor

PURPOSE: The full-time Cancer Support Community (CSC) Oncology Counselor will provide individual support for patients and family members impacted by cancer within CSC’s service area. Services provided include, but are not limited to, adjustment to illness counseling, depression and anxiety screening and recommendations, and bereavement support. All CSC clinicians are supervised by a licensed social worker and participate in weekly clinical reflective supervision with several experts in this field of practice, allowing for clinicians to problem solve difficult cases and collaborate on treatment plans.

SCHEDULE: This position is full time (40 hours/week). Counseling hours will take place between 9
a.m. and 5 p.m. Sessions will be provided online and in-person.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Social Work, counseling or related field
Current clinical license (LLMSW, LMSW)
Proficient in one or more therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, etc.)
