Associate Professor Luke Shaefer was invited to give testimony on welfare and poverty in America at the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance public hearing on October 29.
The Committee on Finance concerns itself with matters associated with taxation and other income standards, especially those related to insular possessions. It is considered to be one of the most powerful committees in Congress.
