    CASC Graduate Kym Leggett Named Dean's Fellow for LSA

    2019 CASC graduate Kym Leggett has been named the 2019-2020 Dean’s Fellow for the U-M College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.  Leggett received her bachelor’s in sociology, a double minor in CASC and music. She also earned the CASC certificate in Poverty Solutions, Action & Engagement.

    Jack Griffin and Amrita Das Receive the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Spirit Award

    Jack Griffin and Amrita Das, CASC minors, received the 2018 Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Spirit Award. The awards honor undergraduate students on Central Campus who best exemplify the leadership and extraordinary vision of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

    CASC Undergraduate Minor Program Manager Amber Williams was appointed by President Schlissel to the Voices of the Staff Program’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion network team for a two-year term.

    Two CASC (Community Action and Social Change Underagraduate Minor) students were recognized for major awards at the University:

    Brittney Williams was recognized as one of The Michigan Daily's Students of the Year.

    Meredith Starkman is the winner of the 2016 Wallenberg Fellowship
