    Henry Ten Brink, MSW, LCSW class of '77, Played Santa at the Louise Graham Regeneration Program for people with Developmental Disabilities in St Petersburg, FL with Sunshine City Kiwanis giving presents to 50 workers.

    MSW Alumni Christine Sauve Honored by The White House

    Christine Sauve (MSW, 2011) was one of ten national leaders honored by The White House for helping immigrants integrate civically, linguistically and socially into the fabric of their neighborhoods and the nation.  

    Sauve coordinates activities in southeast Michigan for the Welcoming Michigan project, a statewide grassroots immigrant integration initiative of the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center. Through dialogue, shared meals, and other opportunities for cross-cultural learning, the project aims to foster mutual respect and understanding among U.S. and foreign-born residents.

    Raquel Castaneda-Lopez (MSW/2007) is elected to the Detroit City Council, District 6.

    SSW Alumni Sharon Yaecker-Roesser (2008) Featured on Ellen

    Sharon Yaecker-Roesser (MSW/2008) was featured on the Ellen Show. Sharon is the prinicipal of a new school, Detroit Achievement Academy. Ellen gave them $50,000.

    The November Issue of Smart Girl's Guide includes an article by Nori Drach (MSW/2012) on Jane Addams and the Bogg School of Detroit (pp. 54-55).

    2011 Work/Life Champion Award Honors MSW Alumna

    Sandra Iaderosa, MSW '85, a Clinical Social Work Manager at the U-M Hospitals and Health Centers in Ann Arbor was recently a recipient of the Work/Life Champion Award for Supervisors.  This award recognizes U-M supervisors who promote work/life balance through consistent recognition of and responsiveness to their employee’s professional and personal lives, incorporating important job demands along with customer and team needs.
