Field Faculty and LEO Lecturer III

Feyisetan Adunbi

Feyisetan (Feyi) Adunbi MSW, LMSW, C-ASWCM, CCBTS is a Clinical Social Worker. Adunbi joined the Office of Field Education in July 2024 as a lecturer and Field Faculty. She has held varied clinical and macro roles in health care, where she has worked for the past eleven years. Nine of those years were at Michigan Medicine where she was program director for the Graduate Social Work Education Program from 2023-2024. In addition, she was involved in scholarly research and was the lead investigator on an IRB-approved research (1998) project on cannabis use as a complementary and alternative treatment option among head and neck cancer patients.

Adunbi’s career spans several years in development work, activism and human rights advocacy. She had worked on women and children’s rights issues — specifically addressing gender-based violence, health and education inequities, and women’s mobilization and participation in grassroots politics in Nigeria.

Prior to earning her MSW degree, Adunbi worked in New Haven, Connecticut, in the area of refugee resettlement and case management, where she developed varied training materials for her agency, including those addressing gender-based violence among the agency population.

In addition to her MSW degree, she holds an MA in African Studies from Yale University, with a specific interest in gender-based violence occurring in the context of armed conflict. She also holds an MPA from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Adunbi is an active volunteer with a local chapter of the American Red Cross where she is a member of the Disaster Mental Health Team, Integrated Care Condolence Team and Service to the Armed Forces Program.
