We live in a society that often views weight and health as one in the same; skinny = healthy, and fat = unhealthy. Fat bodies are villainized as “promoting unhealthy lifestyles” by people who don’t know any other aspects of someone’s health status. But what if our society approached health in a way that focuses not on weight or size, but on mental, emotional, social, spiritual, physical, and all types of health as parts of a bigger whole?
