PhD Students
Subin Min is a joint PhD student in Social Work and Sociology, with research interests in poverty and the racial wealth gap. She is particularly interested in asset-based welfare policies, especially the potential impact of children's savings accounts (CSA) programs on low-income families. She is also curious about state-level differences in economic mobility, specifically how tax policy progressivity and welfare generosity might influence asset building and economic mobility among low-income and near-poor populations. Her research aims to explore effective policy interventions that could enhance financial stability and socio-economic mobility for those living near or below the poverty line.
