Melanie Rivkin is the director of student programs and special events at the University of Chicago Hillel. While at U-M, Mel's JCLP experience focused on Management of Human Services and integrated macro social work practices into her internships at the Anti-Defamation League's Michigan Regional Office and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. After her graduation from Binghamton University with a B.A. in Judaic Studies, Mel spent several years exploring the Jewish social justice landscape as a fellow in the ADAMAH, Repair the World: Pittsburgh and Masa Israel Teaching Fellows: Ashdod programs. In JCLP, Melanie enjoyed being in a space that has been a container for intellectual discourse on numerous issues and ideas circulating in the Jewish non-profit world.
