David Dobbie, MSW, has worked as a labor and community organizer and in the youth development field, and is now a PhD candidate in the Joint Doctoral Program in Social Work and Sociology. His research focuses on how social justice organizations can be more effective by working in coalitions across differences, developing leadership in communities most affected by inequalities, and democratizing their own organizations and the larger society.
