Dr. William "Skip" Barcy is a graduate of the Joint Doctoral Program in Social Work and Social Science (Psychology) from the University of Michigan. His practice career includes 10 years of college teaching at the University of Michigan in the School of Social Work, Department of Psychology, and School of Public Health. He has also served as a field instructor for the School of Social Work. He has worked clinically in a variety of settings ranging from the Federal Correctional System to Community Mental Health. He was a co-founder of the out-patient mental health service of a local health system and founded a mind-body program which he led in the same system for 20 years. He is a Senior Fellow Emeritus of the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America and has attained the DCSW designation from the National Association of Social Workers. He has served as a qualified expert witness in matters of guardianship in questions of competency both in Washtenaw and Livingston Counties.
