I have worked as a freelance editor—in proofreading, copy editing, and developmental editing capacities—for the past eight years. I specialize in editing scholarly articles and manuscripts, but I have also worked with numerous other genres including novels, short stories, nonfiction manuscripts, professional manuals, and web copy.
In addition to freelance editing, I have more than six years of publishing experience, having worked for publishers such as John Wiley & Sons, Time Inc., and Carnegie Mellon University Press. Prior to entering the workforce, I studied writing at the University of Rochester. During that time, I also gained experience as a writing tutor, working with both ESL students and native English speakers.
The bottom line is that I am a reliable, efficient, and thorough editor, who will deliver what is promised when it is promised. Please contact me with any copy editing, proofreading, or developmental editing opportunities.
