Elizabeth Koomson, MSW 2010 is a current PhD student in social work/anthropology. Elizabeth’s research interest focuses on social transformations of women through community organizing and development. Elizabeth’s projects and publications draw on work with grass root groups, organizing women, rural development, and working with agencies for women’s wellbeing. She has many years of experience in organizing women rural communities into strong groups for social and political action. She has worked with rural women groups in Ghana and Ann Arbor for more than 20 years.
