$150,000 of the Gift will be used to establish the TIPPS Training Fund ("SSW Fund"). The Fund, including any additions to it from the Donors or others, will be used to provide funding to hire a Trauma-Informed Programs and Practices in Schools (TIPPS)-trained social worker who will bring a trauma-informed framework to The School at Marygrove and other schools in the state of Michigan. This position will offer training on the TIPPS learning model to teachers, social workers, and other staff in schools at the School at Marygrove and at select schools across the state of Michigan to better equip staff in schools on how to recognize and respond to trauma that students may be experiencing. The social worker hired through the SSW Gift will provide field supervision to students at the School at Marygrove and other schools participating in the training program. The SSW Fund shall be expendable and the University will determine the timing and amount of expenditures. The Dean of the School of Social Work is responsible for ensuring that the SSW Fund is used for its intended purpose.
