This research project will examine grassroots migrant/refugee-run organizations in Michigan, specifically their functions and use of technologies, infrastructure and institutions (ie. social media, human services, educational supports, public spaces, transportation, etc). This research project will lay the necessary foundations and data for the second research phase of developing a digital space for coalition-building, information-sharing, and capacity-building for grassroots migrant/refugee-run organizations.
