My research on ageism and social relations focuses on two main areas: (1) The development and internalization of age-related stereotypes through social relations across the lifespan, and (2) The potential mediating role social relations play between ageism and older adults’ health and well-being. The Elizabeth Douvan Junior Scholar Fund would enhance my current training by providing opportunities to increase my skills in advanced methodologies and present work at conferences in order to facilitate dialogue and idea exchange to further the understanding of social relations and ageism across the lifespan.
