FY23-Project F (CMC3M-UM): Comprehensive MC3 for Moms (Amendment 3)

Muzik, Maria

PI

The current project is a request for match source funding, that will continue to build on successful work of the comprehensive MC3 for Moms program started in FY21 and continued in FY22. The project aims to improve identification of mental health concerns and improve access to behavioral health services for women during the perinatal period. Given 40% of births occur in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties, we aim to support women predominantly in this region while also expanding to Ingham, Genesee, and Washtenaw Counties. Supporting women during this time can improve maternal as well as child outcomes. We aim to complete this via a two-level approach that supports perinatal providers with resources, and consultation services, and to patients by implementing the High Tech, High Touch (HT2) screening program, and providing comprehensive Behavioral Health services using the Collaborative Care Model. We have demonstrated in FY21, and FY22 the utility of these services, and would like to continue the services for FY23.
